This electronic water analyser with special indicators from Velda measures the most important water values in just a few seconds. The digital test results are highly accurate and they can be sent to the Pond Test App on your smartphone or tablet by Bluetooth. The Pond Test App uses the values for a complete diagnosis and history of your pond.
You can use the AquaTesterPro with special indicators from Velda to check water quality frequently and easily. Here is how it works.
Dip the indicator in the water sample for one second. Shake off the excess water and wait 60 sec.
Simply slide the indicator past the sensor and read off the test results.
Use the Bluetooth connection to send the results to your smartphone or tablet. Download the Pond Test App for a complete pond diagnosis.
The AquaTesterPro has a number of advantages over regular methods for water testing.
From now on, you don't have to be a chemist to know the exact water values. No chemicals are needed.
The digital test results can be saved using the Pond Test App. Clear graphics show the history of the water values.
Download the FREE Pond Test App, enter the pond details and find out what the water values mean for your own pond. Velda helps you with a range of products to improve the water quality.
It is easy to establish a Bluetooth connection between the AquaTesterPro and the Velda Pond Test App. The app is compatible with both Android and iOS.
Doubts about the accuracy of the test results make people skip regular inspection. Now you can be 100% sure about the results.
Simply slide one indicator past the sensor to measure eight water values at the same time. It takes just a few seconds. The highly sensitive sensor also means the AquaTesterPro is more accurate than any of the standard test strips.
The AquaTesterPro measures seven important values at the same time using a single indicator. Velda supplies special indicators for ponds, aquariums(fresh water), aquariums(salt water) and pools.
The pH is the acidity of the water and it is an important value to know when you use products for water and algae control. The right pH ensures the proper disinfection of your pool. Excessive pH causes calcium deposits and slows down plant growth in ponds and aquariums.
The KH is the carbonate hardness expressed in degrees DH. It represents the capacity of the water to function as a buffer. When the KH value is too low, acidification of the water may result, slowing down the growth of oxygen-producing plants.
The GH is the general hardness expressed in degrees DH. It represents the calcium and magnesium ions in the water. Excess levels of these minerals cause deposits and turbid water. When the GH value is too low, plant growth in the pond will slow down and acidification may result, especially in winter.
The NO2 content is the nitrite level in the water. Nitrifying bacteria convert organic components into ammonium, and then nitrite and finally nitrate. Too much nitrite (NO2) in the water is harmful for fish. Replace the filter materials and refresh part of the water.
Nitrates (NO3) enter the water in organic dirt from plants, garden fertiliser, urine or fish excrement. Water plants absorb nitrate but NO3 levels may become excessive when the nitrification process is disturbed, causing algal growth and green water.
The TA is the alkalinity of the water and it determines the stability of the pH level. When the TA value is right, the pH will be less sensitive to the impact of the weather and dissolved substances in the water. Remedies to improve water quality will also be more effective. Fish do not respond well to strong pH fluctuations due resulting from over-low levels of total alkalinity.
CL2 means the free chlorine in the water measured in mg/l. There should not be any CL2 in your pond/aquarium water because it destroys important bacteria.
